PIETAS I.
The glass sculptures from the exhibition GLASS SOUL / PIETAS I. are heading to their private customers and to the world's exhibition halls.
After the end of one of the most successful exhibitions GLASS SOUL / PIETAS I. in Prague's Museum of Decorative Arts, the first works found their owner! Private customers and art collectors can purchase the second to fifth copies of the sculpture. The exhibition GLASS SOUL / PIETAS I., the return of funerary sculpture presented the work of authors from various artistic fields, who created a sculpture-melting glass sculpture, presented in memorial boxes. Our company GLAZ BRIDGE, which deals with the custom production of artistic funeral objects, was the one that commissioned the call.
The first exhibition of this kind realized by us showed the visitors that funeral urns can be something more than just a container; they can serve as beautiful and meaningful objets d'art that keep a memory alive or be part of a will. By incorporating them into your home, you can create a space that honors and celebrates life and provides peace.
The invited authors of the first cycle were: Vladimíra Klumpar-Pavlik (sculptor, glassblower), Federiko Díaz (sculptor working with robotics, multimedia artist), Martin Janecký (sculptor, glassblower), Petr Písařík (painter, sculptor), Alžběta Jungrová (photographer), Zdeněk Fránek (architect), Tono Stano (photographer), Zdeněk Lhotský (glass maker, sculptor, artist, graphic artist), Marek Číhal (painter), Vladimír 518 (rapper, painter, typographer, writer), Michal Škapa (painter, graphic artist, typographer , designer), Filip Kůrka (painter), Matyas Pavlik (glazier), Michal Cimala (sculptor, painter and musician), Jakub Janovský (painter and sculptor), Antonín Střížek (painter, photographer), Natalie Dufková, (fashion designer) Jiří Belda (jeweler, sculptor), Viktorie Beldová (jeweler) and Lucie Švitorková (glass maker).
The exhibition GLASS SOUL / PIETAS I was seen by over 14,000 visitors and the collection is in demand by other galleries and exhibition spaces not only at home but also abroad. The exhibition placed in the interior was also seen by the customers of this unique house as part of the SOUL POP-UP in Prague's SUMO GARDEN CONCEPT STORE. As part of the PRE-CHRISTMAS EXHIBITION, we approached the clients of ARTEFIN GALLERY and DEPOSITORY ARTEX PRAGUE. From the comfort of their homes, those interested can take a look under the hood of production, into the studios, and take a guided tour from the documents on the GLAZ BRIDGE YouTube channel.
The entire collection is recorded in a printed publication of the collective of authors. The book entitled Glass Soul also maps the world's departure rituals, presents a funeral dictionary and describes the handicrafts associated with the collection. FLACONS AD MEMORIAM PIETAS II.
We are constantly adding new authors and their works to the URNS starter collection. The FLACONS AD MEMORIAM / PIETAS II. line also emerged from the collection, new generation glass vials that can also serve as storage for human or animal remains.
The customer can choose from three sizes and colors of flacons with caps from a range of original lids. Each of the works represents a separate artistic artifact, which is based on the current work of authors of various professions in limited editions of a maximum of 1-5 originals or 1-50 copies. The collection is open by author.
STELE WITH HEART
PIETAS III.
Based on the success of the GLASS SOUL / PIETAS I. project, we are now proceeding with the further development of the Funeral Art program, namely the STELE WITH HEART / PIETAS III. project. The goal is an artistic rendering of the tombstones that were built instead of the monument. This vertical object indicated a tombstone, monument, statue, pillar or slab. The vertical stele in the competition must be designed so that it can be placed either on an individual grave or in an open space; private or public. Prizes will not be awarded, but 12 competitive proposals will be selected for implementation in no particular order.
